Family Discipleship Resources We Recommend
Below you will find our family’s favorite resources for instruction in family worship and covenantal parenting. These are resources that have been valuable for our family, and we wholeheartedly recommend that you invest in these resources for your own family as you have the budget.
We read Family Driven Faith (link below) about a decade ago and it was a huge paradigm shift for us. If you need a single place to begin learning how to set a path forward in discipling your family, it would be here. Voddie Baucham’s instruction is practical and convicting. We recommend both husband and wife read this book in order to be on the same page. It will provide much fruitful discussion. It did for us!
For families just beginning to form a pattern for family worship, we recommend that you begin with 15-20 minutes around the dinner table. Small kids won’t move around as much while they are eating. Pick a book of the Bible and just read a single chapter. We love to follow up our chapter in the Bible with reading the accompanying commentary/ devotional from our copy of Family Worship Bible Guide which you will see a link to below. End with prayer and sing a hymn or Scripture memory song together.
