“Live in the Bible” Printable Wall Art

Description

This printable artwork features a timeless exhortation from Charles Spurgeon: “Visit many good books, but live in the Bible.”

Delivered as a high-resolution digital file, this design is ready for you to print at the size and material that fits your space – whether in a study, living room, classroom, or homeschool area.

Charles Spurgeon was one of the most influential preachers of the 19th century, known for his powerful pulpit ministry at the Metropolitan Tabernacle and his profound commitment to the life of the mind. He read widely across history, theology, and literature, amassing a substantial personal library and founding the Pastors’ College to equip ministers to serve with wisdom and discernment.

Yet despite his breadth of reading, Spurgeon always insisted that the Bible must be the grounding text of every Christian’s life. “Visit many good books, but live in the Bible” captures his conviction that while other works can inform and enrich us, they are not substitutes for the Word of God. The Bible alone shapes our doctrine, forms our affections, and sustains us in faith and practice.

This print makes that conviction visible in your home. Placing it where you and your family pause daily serves as a steady reminder to prioritize Scripture – its study, its memorization and meditation, and its application in everyday life.
