Bible Lessons Your Kids Need

Teaching our children about Creation is utterly important in helping them trust what God's Word says, to take God at His Word is to trust Him. Believing in a literal six day Creation is actually a foundational component of the Christian worldview.

It is not surprising to us when the world denies God's Word, but we live in an age where Christians are increasingly denying the clear teaching of Scripture that God created the world by His Word in six literal days. This truth may seem inconsequential, but it is in fact foundational to our faith. The attempt to marry God's Word with secular, humanist science that is antithetical to God's Word, has led many a Christian down a dangerous path. This path leaves his theology and doctrine open to all sorts of attacks from the world, ultimately causing him to capitulate over and over as he grasps unsuccessfully for consistency in his worldview. The fact that the sovereign God of the universe, Who always has been and always will be, created our world, and in it placed humans who bear the very image of God, Imago Dei, this truth is foundational to the Christian worldview. Our great God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe.

In Bible Investigators: Creation, Danika not only teaches children about the Creation account, but she also teaches them how to read the Bible and apply it to their lives: hermeneutics 101.

Good Bible Investigators:

  • Observe: They pay attention to what they are reading.
  • Interpret: They figure out what the Bible means in that section.
  • Apply: They decide how the truth of God's Word impacts their life today.

Most adults do not know how to do proper hermeneutics, yet Danika is teaching children through reading, activities, puzzles, and more how to develop good Bible study habits that will follow them the rest of their lives.

One could easily use this resource as a homeschool Bible unit over the course of a few weeks or as a family worship resource guide with the whole family. With 90 brain-teasing puzzles, 40 Bible passages, and 30 concepts regarding God's Creation, this 272-page lesson, puzzle, and activity book gives children the skills they need to investigate the Bible for themselves setting them up for practicing healthy spiritual disciplines from a young age.
